Who it is for

People who live here, people with a cottage here, and people coming up for a weekend. It covers Gravenhurst, Bracebridge, Huntsville, Muskoka Lakes, Lake of Bays, Seguin, Parry Sound and the west side of Algonquin Park. It is the companion to Muskoka Pulse on Instagram and Facebook, and to the Monday newsletter.

How events get here

Events come from the people who run them. That means town calendars, venue box offices, library calendars and festival pages. We do not copy listings from tourism aggregators.

Each event is opened on its source page and checked for the date, the time, the place and the town. If the source does not give a time, the listing says so. If a date is announced but not published, the event goes in a separate list marked unconfirmed. We do not guess.

Every listing links to its source. If a listing has not been checked since the last update, it shows the date it was last checked. Plans change. Check with the organiser before you go.

When it is updated

Each time the site is rebuilt, events that have ended drop off. A multi-day event stays until its last day is over. New events are added as the sources publish them. This page was last built on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

Where the rest comes from

History entries cite towns, museums, Parks Canada, Ontario Parks, community history guides, newspapers and Wikipedia. Each entry names its source, so you can weigh it. Lake figures come from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources lake fact sheets. Shorelines are drawn from OpenStreetMap data, © OpenStreetMap contributors, under the ODbL.
